Welcome to D Minor Recording!
Hi, I’m Mark Dubravec, D Minor Recording is my attempt at a blog, but it is also the name of my project recording studio.
I’m an alumnus of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA and hold a Bachelor of Music Degree in Recording Arts & Sciences. In 2007 I became a Digidesign Certified Operator of Pro Tools HD 7. I also perform with The Polka Quads of Steelton, PA. We are one of the most well known Cleveland-Style Polka bands in the country and provide a variety of music with many of the songs sung in the Croatian and Slovenian languages. I’ve worked as an audio engineer/post-production audio editor at Commonwealth Media Services (CMS) in Harrisburg, PA for the past ten years. Our bureau provides “quality, cost-effective, professional communications products and services to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, including the Governor’s Office, departments and commissions, state-funded organizations and recipients of state grants.” CMS offers a wide variety of multi-media, video, audio, photographic, and press support services. We have produced award winning documentaries, public-service announcements, and television commercials!
The work is very diverse and requires many skills beyond the realm of audio recording and editing. Along the way I’ve become a satellite uplink operator…beaming broadcast video out to satellites in orbit around our beautiful blue planet!!!
I have been fortunate to be a part of a few award winning productions during my tenure here including Emmy Awards, Telly Awards, NAGC Gold Screen Awards, Omni Awards and New York Festivals International Film & Video Awards.
